Who are we?
Reading Allies are passionate literacy advocates working with local school districts to increase literacy among children and families in Crawford County.
The Problem

of PA students in grades 3-8
are reading at grade-level
Our Solution
Our plan is to help students in Crawford County become successful readers.
Here's how:
1. Train Reading Allies
Reading Allies are community members who want to help our students learn to read. Allies are trained with the Orton Gillingham Approach.
2. Partner with Local Schools
Our Allies work directly with Crawford Central and Titusville Area School Districts. Allies are partnered with classrooms and students most in need of support.
3. Build Relationships
Our Allies meet regularly with students to build a positive relationship around reading. Each ally is able to customize the interventions based on common interests.
